Papaya is a fruit of great taste and high on medicinal properties. It is a popular fruit all across the world.
It is generally considered a great fruit for the digestive system. It is said in Indian culture that digestive system is the key for health of any individual. If you have the digestive system well, then you will not have any health problems. A person with a weak digestive system will have weak immunity and tends to not keep well. Children are said to have great digestive system. As you age , your digestive system becomes weak, so it is important that you keep your digestive system well.
I was gaining weight lately as i went in late 30's. I read somewhere that papaya helps to reduce weight so I thought of giving it a try. Most of the weight i had gained is around the late night and heavy Indian dinners. I planned to change my diet and have a light dinner and also included papaya as a part of my evening regime.
In the evening I planned to include papaya as a part of my diet. Here is the diet, i followed the seven days.
Papaya diet : 1/2 papaya with squeezed lemon. Add salt and red chilly powder/black pepper/chat masala as per your taste. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour. This way the fruit does not taste bland.
Monday, 1 cup boiled dalia/oats with milk and no sugar by 07:00 pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I generally sleep by 10:00pm so there was 2 hours difference between sleeping and eating time. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Tuesday, 1 cup boiled dalia/oats with moong dal and no sugar by 07:00 pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Wednesday, 1/2 cup brown rice with peas and cauliflower, fried rice with very little oil by 07:00pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Thursday, tomato soup with roasted brown bread by 07:00pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Friday, roasted veggies by 07:00pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Saturday, cucumber sandwitches by 07:00pm and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Sunday, Corn soup/tom yam soup or any soup of your choice with toasted brown bread. Ensure theer are no cheese or butter or cornflour in soup. and subsequently 1/2 ripe papaya by 08:00 .pm. I also had warm lemon water with honey before sleeping.
Kudos, I almost lost 2.5 kgs within a month and helped me to improve by digestive system to many extent. I feel refreshed and energized. My skin glowed.
